Jeannette Bauroth is a Germany-based literary translator with more than 15 years of experience in the industry. She heads a team of several freelance translators, editors, proofreaders, formatters and cover designers to help foreign indie authors bring their books to the German market.

She also works as a freelance translator for big German publishing houses (Verlagsgruppe Random House, Harper Collins Germany, Amazon Publishing, Loewe Verlag, Fischer KJB, Bastei Lübbe/LYX) and is well-connected in the business. Recent projects include the co-translation of E L James’ “The Mister” and the translation of Lauren Weisberger’s “If Life Gives You Lululemons”.

Together with fellow translator Corinna Wieja she wrote “Selling your novel in Germany“, a comprehensive guide to publishing in Germany.

Jeannette loves to research for her translation on-site and frequently attends industry events such as the RWA Conference or the Writers’ Police Academy. She’s also a sought-after speaker on translation.
